The Department of Applied Chemistry successfully hosted an insightful online expert talk as part of its ongoing initiative to enhance students’ and researchers’ understanding of advanced laboratory technologies and emerging materials.

The session aimed to foster thorough comprehension of lab technologies, while enhancing participants’ theoretical insights and practical skills in materials chemistry and solid-state research.

Our distinguished speaker, Dr. Sonali Tomar from IISc Bangalore delivered a compelling lecture on rare earth activated NaLa(MoO₄) phosphors and their potential applications in optoelectronics, bioimaging, and multifunctional materials

Mr digvijay singh tomar  Mr. Digvijay Singh Tomar

Mr. Digvijay Singh Tomar from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan delivered a lecture on Shaping the future of photodetection: the role of 2D & Hybrid nanomaterials.

The talk provided attendees with an in-depth look at synthesis methods, structural characterization, and the role of rare earth ions in tuning material properties and about photodetection by 2D and hybrid nanomaterials.
