Applied Chemistry Laboratory visit during AAROHAN 2025

✨ "Elemental Encounters: A Two-Day Immersion in Applied Chemistry at AAROHAN 2025"

As a specialized segment of the AAROHAN 2025 school outreach program, the Department of Applied Chemistry, SGSITS Indore, organized a two-day interactive laboratory visit for school students on 10th and 11th October 2025. The event was designed to demonstrate the practical applications of chemistry in engineering and daily life through hands-on experiments, guided demonstrations, and interactive sessions.

2. Objectives
  1. To introduce school students to the role of chemistry in engineering and technology.
  2. To demonstrate interesting and safe chemical experiments with real-world applications.
  3. To foster scientific curiosity and encourage higher studies in chemical sciences.
  4. To showcase the state-of-the-art facilities of the Applied Chemistry Laboratory at SGSITS.
3. Participating Schools
A total of approximately 200 students (140 each day) from various CBSE, ICSE, and state board schools across Indore participated:

  1. Demystified chemistry as a purely theoretical subject.
  2. Highlighted career opportunities in chemical engineering, material science, and environmental engineering.
  3. Strengthened the department’s outreach and potential collaboration with schools for future projects.
  4. Enhanced the visibility of SGSITS’s Applied Chemistry Department as a center for practical, application-based learning.
