The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication engineering at SGSITS Indore was established in 1973. It offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.). The department is a QIP Ph.D. Centre and is offering Ph.D. program in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
The Under Graduate program and Post Graduate course offered by the department have NBA Accreditation. The programmes offered by the department have special emphasis on Wireless Communication, Signal Processing, Embedded system and RF & Microwave.
The laboratories of the department are well equipped with the state of art instruments / equipments. Various laboratories of the department include Basic & Analog Electronics Lab, Digital System Design Lab, Electronics Measurement Lab, Analog & Digital Communication Lab., Antenna and Microwave Lab, Electronics Workshop, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Optical communication Lab, Microprocessor, Microcontroller and Embedded System Lab, Advance RF & Microwave Lab, IoT Lab, VLSI Lab. The department have a Departmental Library, well established computer centre with computing facilities & intranet / internet connectivity, audio-video equipped smart classrooms, conference room and seminar hall.
Department participated in TEQIP I, II and III Programmes ( Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme), IMPACT (Industry Oriented Manpower with Appropriate Competence and Training) Project of Ministry of Information Technology, jointly with SDC and World Bank selected on all India basis. Department has executed R&D projects and Faculty Development Programs sanctioned from AICTE, MHRD.

There is a strong alumni connect & have collaboration with the nearby Academic, R/D institutions and local industries. Many alumni of the department have pursued M. Tech. and Ph.D. studies in various IITs and abroad after securing high percentile in GATE & GRE and many of them have qualified in Engineering and Administrative service exams.
