The purpose of this course is to provide a general background on environmental science and how human activities are influencing the physical aspects of Earth and its biotic systems. The course will enable student to: |

Develop an understanding of our excessive use of fossil fuels and and its effect on the environment and climate. |

Rationalize the importance of alternative energy sources. |
3 |
List common and adverse human impacts on biotic communities, soil, water, and air quality and suggest sustainable strategies to mitigate these impacts. |
