On 23rd  August 2025, a workshop on  The Role of Pure and Applied Mathematics in Machine Learning Innovation was organized at Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science by the Department of Applied Mathematics and computational science  in AAROHAN 2025(Annual Tech Fest).  The workshop has been started with inaugral ceremony in the presence of  Director of SGSITS Prof. Nitesh Purohit, Dean(ARSD)Prof. Lalit Purohit , Tech-fest coordinator Prof. Shailendra Sharma, Workshop Coordinator Prof. Smita Verma and  Head of the Department Dr. Rachna Navalakhe. 

After the inaugral ceremony , two expert lectures are conducted on this day . The aim of  the workshop to motivate students and faculties  to apply various  mathematical concepts in machine learning, including linear algebra, calculus, neural network and probability.

The first lecture was delivered by Prof. Maya Ingle, SCS & IT, DAVV, Indore. The second  lecture was delivered by Prof. Sufia Aziz , IET, DAVV, Indore . The program was attended by many faculty members and students of the Institute , along with faculties and students from other colleges.The workshop ended with a vote of thanks was given by Dr. Rachna Navalakhe.
