The Department of Computer Technology and Applications, established in August 2001, is committed to producing skilled, knowledgeable, and industry-ready computer application professionals. It offers a two-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program with an annual intake of 120 students. The curriculum is designed to meet the evolving demands of the IT sector and covers modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, alongside widely used programming platforms like Python, Android Development, and the MERN Stack. To strengthen practical learning, the program includes a full-semester industry training, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and exposure to real-world challenges.
The department consistently maintains strong placement records, with students placed in leading IT companies such as Infosys, Deloitte, Capgemini, Quantiphi, and several others. Many alumni have also emerged as successful entrepreneurs, running their own IT startups and contributing to the technology ecosystem. The department’s strength lies in its highly qualified Ph.D. faculty, who bring extensive academic expertise, research experience, and active industry collaborations.
