TechSkull

About the Club

TechSkull is the technical club of M.C.A. stream of IT Department, SGSITS. It was restarted in February 2024 to enhance the technical skills and abilities of the students. The club which is supported by the department, mentored by the faculties and led by the students is a perfect concoction of student’s curiosity and faculty’s disciplined approach towards learning. TechSkull provides a platform for students to connect, learn, and grow together in the ever-evolving world of technology.

Vision and Mission

Vision: The club strives to make MCA students technically sound and capable by enhancing their technical skills.

Mission: The club provides a platform for MCA students to grow together technically by organizing various activities regularly.

Activities

1. Inauguration Event: 14th February 2024

The event was kicked off with a spiritual inauguration of the club with Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lighting, urging Maa Saraswati to grace us all with the craving for knowledge and to help us realise and attain our full potential. The participants got to interact with the club leaders and mentors, where we shared the vision and mission of the club. The event concluded with showcasing of the various activities and benefits that the TechSkull MCA Club offers.

2. Data Science Using Python Workshop: 14th - 16th February 2024

3. PsychQuest (AAYAAM ‘24) : 22 - 23 Feb. 2024

 AAYAAM is the annual Techno-Cultural Fest of SGSITS. A stall was organized under the ageis of the club in this fest on 22nd and 23rd February 2024. The stall was managed by volunteers of 1st year MCA students. It contained various challenging mental games and puzzles to be played by participants.


4. Placement Talk Series: (Ongoing)

Under the ageis of the club a series of talks are under progress, these talks are given by the placed students from the previous batches to help the students of the current batch in their placement process. Seniors provide valuable guidance, knowledge and tips to juniors to crack the placement process. Participants get the opportunity to solve doubts and queries they have regarding the process.
