On 11th October 2025, A Plenary Lecture and Student Research Conclave under Annual Techfest, AAROHAN-2025 have been conducted by the Department of Applied Mathematics and computational Science .The co-ordinator of the program was Dr. Smita Verma.
Forenoon session was started by Expert Prof. Dr. V. K. Gupta on the topic Timeless Tools: Ancient Mathematics for Contemporary Challenges. He enlightened on Ancient Mathematics such as Baudhayana : Ancient Indian version of the Pythagoras theorem, Aryabhata,Varāhamihira, Brahmagupta, Bhaskara II, Madhava . Also discussed about ancient and medieval Indian mathematicians and astronomers made foundational contributions to modern science, including the place value system, the concept of zero, negative numbers, algebra, trigonometry, and early calculus concepts. Their work laid the groundwork for mathematical advancements globally.The program was attended by all the faculty members and students of the institute. Vote of thanks was given by Head of the Department, Dr. Rachna Navalakhe.
Student Research Conclave under Annual Techfest, AAROHAN-2025 was organized in afternoon session . In the conclave students of the Department were presented their research papers on the respective fields and discussed the use of mathematics in various fileds to handle real life situations.
