The Department of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics (CEAMD) at Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), in collaboration with the ISRS Indore Chapter, successfully conducted a Technical Quiz Competition on October 15, 2025, as part of the Aarohan Technical Fest to mark Engineers' Day.
The competition drew over 80 participants from SGSITS and various other colleges, all gathering to honor Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, revered as the 'Father of Modern Engineering' in India. The event centered on celebrating his remarkable life, achievements, and lasting contributions to the nation's development.
Structured in two phases, the quiz showcased fierce competition and exceptional technical acumen among participants. Students demonstrated impressive command over engineering concepts and rapid problem-solving abilities, with the final standings determined by mere seconds—a testament to the contest's challenging nature.
In a notable achievement, a student from NIT Raipur clinched the first prize, while SGSITS students captured both second and third positions, represented by fourth-year and first-year students respectively.
The event underscored CEAMD's ongoing commitment to fostering technical excellence and comprehensive student development, marking another successful initiative under the institute's flagship technical festival.
