Site Visit Report: Dynamic Pile Load Testing Using PDA at Omaxe City, Indore

On January 9, 2026, SGSITS MTech students Ngasepam Newton Singh (Structure) and Priyanshi Gothwal (Transportation) conducted a site visit to observe Dynamic Pile Load Testing at Omaxe City, Indore. Organized by CEAMD in collaboration with alumnus Er. H. I. Mehta, the visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical pile foundation testing. The students observed a Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) test that involved installing sensors on the pile surface, connecting them to the PDA unit, and recording data during controlled hammer impacts from a 0.5-meter height. The test achieved a load of 1147.5 kN with only 3.5 mm displacement, confirming the pile's safe capacity. This hands-on experience provided valuable insights into real-world testing procedures and site challenges in geotechnical engineering.
