This patent presents a highly efficient solution for the water pumping system in the irrigation sector with the sensor-less control of solar energy-driven PMBLDCM (Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motor) drive. The proposed sensor-less system plays an important role in designing one of the best alternatives for cost-effective water pumping as only two electrical sensors are used in this topology which eliminates the need for DC– DC conversion stage. Only two hall sensors are used for overall control of the solar power driver PMBLDCM drive.
