Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sharma
- About Faculty: Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sharma has received his Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, in 2012. He has more than 18 years of experience in teaching and research. He received his Master degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics from G. S. Institute of Technology & Science, Indore in 2003 and bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in 1998 from Institute of Engineers, India. He has joined as an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering Department at Shri G. S. Institute of Technology & Science Indore, Madhya Pradesh India in March 2004, and became Associate Professor in 2017 & Professor in 2020. He was a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering at École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS), Universié du Québec, Montréal, Canada during Jan.-Dec. 2015. He has two Indian patents in his credit in the field of renewable energy. He has published thirty papers in Journals of international repute including IEEE and IET. He has also published and presented more than seventy research papers in various prestigious national and international conferences. His main research interests are in control of stand-alone non-conventional energy sources, Grid control under penetrations of distributed energy resources, power quality improvements, smart loads, solid state transformers and control of special machine drives. Dr. Sharma is a senior member, IEEE and Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India).
